WOW! We don't know what else to say. Last night at the Liberty Theatre was an incredible show. A HUGE thanks to all the kids for coming out in force and making the night one of our most memorable as a band. The show was sold out and hundreds of kids got turned away at the door. We were cleaned out of nearly all our merchandise - which means we'll have to come up with some new cool stuff for the Impact show next Friday. Special thanks to the organizers, KGRG for sending reps to the show and playing us so much and to all the other great bands - Instant Winner, The Geeks, Go Ahead, Ruckus and Inner Self. Definitely a great way to start out the summer!

We played SXSW last night....played a big outdoor stage in 75-degree weather (a welcome change from all the frigid temperatures we've toured in the last 6 weeks) for a bunch of kids and industry folk....big shout outs to 101X (Austin,TX) for sponsoring the stage and to Flickerstick and Passerby for rocking the house with us.

March 15, 2003
Our stop in New Orleans was a blast! We got to see Norway's legendary Turbonegro and the Queens Of The Stone Age and then rock the afterparty in the House Of Blues Voodoo Lounge....that town knows how to party and TJCF was glad to be part of the Rock Action..thanks to the fine folks at House Of Blues for setting us up right!

March 14, 2003
At the end of our set in Richmond, KY last night things got a bit "loose"..we found out the owner, named Kenny plays in a Motley Crue tribute band..so we dragged his ass up on stage and proceeded to rip through a few Crue covers to the delight of the folks in the house. Live Wire. Looks That Kill, and Dr Feelgood were laid down...and Jeebus did a Vince Neil impersonation that words can not describe...

March 12, 2003
We returned to Rochester last night and rocked out with two awesome local bands..the Thundergods and the Shackletons..and the fine staff at the Montage continued to make us feel most welcome. Can't wait to be back folks.

Northampton MASS was a killer show.....probably one of the best sets of rock we've ever played...the band is very excited about the way things are shaping up musically....after the show we were treated to a 5-star meal at a small joint called Circa....the private after hours meal was Link Wray and his wife Olive, Hilton Valentine (of the Animals) and his wife Germaine, Terry of NRBQ/Johnny Cash fame and TJCF. Pictures will be up at the conclusion of the tour. Special Thanks to Liz & Dane and the fine folks at Cica for the best grub we've had the whole tour. (The Montage in Rochester comes in a close 2nd!)

Our first show was off the hook last night. We played with a local Detroit band called the Cyril Lords and of course Link Wray. Our set was well received and the stage and sound were top notch. Justin and Dana slammed some rock with the legendary Link Wray for nearly 2 hours. They ran through classics like Rumble, Jack The Ripper, Ace Of Spades, Run Chicken Run, Tornado Rock, Hot Sauce, Batman, Spiderman, Shawnee, and Branded and the partisan crowd was eating it up. A big shout out to Dave Alford in Detroit - thanks for making our 3 days in town rock so very hard! We're off to Milwaukee.....

February 10, 2003

February 8, 2003
We made it from Seattle to Chicago in 40 hours! We even had time to stop in Sturgis, SD at The Harley Davidson shop, see Mount Rushmore and shoot some stick at the world famous "in the middle of nowhere" Wall Drug. Its frickin cold here..but we will warm up with some Rock for sure...more later.

February 6, 2003
Hey Folks!

THE JET CITY FIX are hitting the road.....

Get ready to rumble! When it comes to innovation in the vocabulary of electric rock guitar, few can hold their own against the legendary Link Wray. With heaps of rawness and distortion, Wray rewrote the book on rock guitar in the Fifties. And he continues to crank his amp and bend those strings around such signature tunes of his as "Rumble," "Ramble," "Ace of Spades," and "Jack the Ripper." Heck, this guy's so bad, and such a primeval rock and roller, that the authorities banned an INSTRUMENTAL track of his because of the juvenile delinquent vibes it radiated. Give the guy some bonus points for STILL not being in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. THE JET CITY FIX will not only be opening for Link Wray on this entire 4 week tour but the powerhouse rhythm section of Justin McDonald and Dana Sims will be pulling double duty as members of Link Wray's band!
The confirmed dates as of today are as follows:

2/12 - Detroit, MI - The Magic Stick
2/14 - Milwaukee, WI - Vnuks Lounge
2/15 - Dekalb, IL - Otto's
2/16 - Madison, WI - Luthers Blues
2/17 - Minneapolis, MN - Fine Line Music Cafe
2/19 - Chicago, IL - Abbey Pub
2/21 - Cleveland, OH - Beachland Ballroom
2/22 - Pittsburgh, PA - Moondogs
2/23 - Rochester, NY - Montage Grill
2/25 - Buffalo, NY - Mohawk Place
2/27 - New Haven, CT - Toad's Place
2/28 - Farmingdale, NY - The Downtown

3/1 - Philadelphia, PA - North By Northwest
3/2 - Piermont, NY - Turning Point
3/3 - Northampton, MA - Iron Horse Music Hall
3/7 - Asbury Park, NJ - Stone Pony
3/8 - New York, NY - Village Underground

More dates will be added so keep checking the "upcoming shows" page
