A big news day in the world of The Jet City Fix:

1. We are in the new issue of

2. We are proud to announce we will be playing Saturday afternoon at 1:00 PM at Crystal Mountain ski resort with Alien Crime Syndicate as part of the "Vertical Destination" tour sponsored by KNDD - 107.7 FM - The End!

3. Our video for "Dumb Luck" was accepted in a category at the Sundance film festival and we have been invited to perform during the festival. The festival takes place in Park City, UT and the dates are January 21-24, 2004. We will post more details on the specifics of our performance date and time when we have them.

* Friday at Alderwood Mall is NOT happening. Don't head up there if you were going to find us!
* Saturday at Westlake Seattle is happening - there will be two bands - THE JET CITY FIX and the Rotten Apples and the times are being worked out.
* Sunday at Bellevue Square is happening - we have to work around a Piano Recital (insert joke here) and the times are being worked out.

We are back home from our Western US tour. It was a weird trip home..we went from the hot desert to being stuck in a mountain blizzard in a span of less than 12 hours..which can really mess with you. But all the shows went great and we are now excited to turn right back around, jump back in the van and show the Northwest what's up. We are all over the Northwest for the next couple of weeks - check the shows page for more details.

We are in Las Vegas for a wedding of a close friend today and are beaming with excitement after an excellent pass through Arizona. Thanks to Issac from Shark Pants for the cool punk-rock style show in Tucson and HUGE thanks to Authority Zero and Redfield for asking us to join them for the Halloween extravaganza in Tempe at The Marquee Theatre - we haven't played for that many kids since the Motorhead show in Seattle earlier this year - what a rush! We can't wait to go back and rock with all our new friends in AZ!

We've had a couple of days off on our Western US tour - so we did what any band would do - we holed up in a rehearsal space in Los Angeles and spent two full days working on the songs we have written for the new record...YES folks..that's right..a new TJCF record will be created the first three weeks of January 2004 with legendary producer Jack Endino (Nirvana, Soundgarden, Hot Hot Heat, etc...). Our plan is to have the whole thing written by the end of November and to use the shows we will do in December to "work out" the new stuff live so it's completely slamming by the time we lay it down to tape. So if you want the inside track on the new stuff keep your calendar open in December and stay tuned for dates.

Its been a great weekend for The Jet City Fix. We played in San Francisco for the first time on Friday and had an excellent show at Thee Parkside with our good friends DIRTY POWER - thanks to Patrick and his gang for setting us up. Last night we rolled into Reno, NV and had a warm reception from the kids at Arkaik! It felt a lot like the Brick:House (RIP) back home and we are looking forward to returning VERY soon.

MTV has picked up on The Jet City Fix! First they played a bit of "Dumb Luck" on the way to a commercial break during the Video Music Awards and last night they started showing an episode of Road Rules which features "The Life"!

Also our "Dumb Luck" video is on the Wet Seal video reel for September (480 stores nation-wide) and in all VANS stores for September and October (200+ stores nationwide). The track is also in all audio programs for Wet Seal and Contempo Casuals and previously ran at the Anchor Blue chain in April. So if you're shopping and you see or hear the Fix let us know.

Last night we played at the Factory in Bellingham. We want to thank the many fans who made the drive to see us. 3 songs into our set the PA went down and the club was unable to revive it...a total bummer...but as luck would have it one of our fans in Mt Vernon was having her 21st birthday bash so we drove down the road with fans in tow and slammed out our set anyway. The Bellingham photo gallery that has just been added has photos from both our brief set in Bellingham and our birthday bash performance.

We had a great time, made many new friends and enjoyed playing our music halfway around the world to a very receptive group of people. Big shout outs to Kike Turmix and his crew for bringing us over and to the many fine bands we got to rock and hang out with: Zen Guerrilla, Nebula, The Black Halos, The Hells, Baby Woodrose, Electric Frankenstein, Very Ape, Safety Pins, and Danzig's band and crew. It looks like we'll be back in Europe in November and we can't wait to go.
